Sketches based on the influence of Zdzisław Beksiński and Keith Thompson

I ran with the idea of repeated anatomy for quite a while in my sketch book, resulting in some interesting designs and creatures.
Where as Beksiński had a tendency to leave faces obscured i found myself instead focusing on the faces and adding extra features in unusual places to try create abstract forms.

Multiple Limbs, with legs coming out of the shoulders , taking inspiration from the "Mannequins" in Silent hill 2.

A tree of faces growing from a plant pot.

Taking inspiration from Keith Thompson with his use and exploitation of animal anatomy but instead contorted a human skeleton into the shape of a chicken. I was trying to imply a relation to humans being live stock with the animal choice but the success of that is questionable

This was a far looser and quicker sketch, with a group of human torsos bound together at the waist, trying to imagine how it would crawl across the floor.

Continuing with the animal theme that had developed i tried an almost lizard like human.

I experimented with ways it could move and eventually settled on something akin to the "Lying Figure" enemies in Silent Hill, using its hind legs to push itself along the floor on its belly.

There are a few more very quick sketches , i started thinking about the incorporation of man made material into the bodies.
